Base
9 (or 12) oz plain flour
3 (or 4) oz white or brown sugar
6 (or 8) oz marge or butter
Cream butter and sugar, then add flour. Press into baking tray (? square) and bake till turning brown.
Filling
4 or 6 or 8 oz butter
2 dsp sugar
1 tin condensed milk
2 dsp syrup
Melt everything, stir well and boil for 5 min. Beat and then pour on to cooked shortbread base.
When cold, coat with quarter (or half) lb melted chocolate !!!
